This is the most romantic place that I have visited in all my travels. This shouldn't come as a surprise since Venice is often the go to destination when one thinks of romance. The Grand Canal, the ancient buildings and well manicured gardens add to the beauty and romance of this city.
This is the most important canal in Italy, which has over 150 houses along its bank, most of were built between year 1200 to 1700. Venice fondly referred as the "City of Canals" or the"City of Bridges".
The Grand Canal forms one of the major water traffic corridors in the city. Santa Maria della Salute basilica is one of the beautiful churches in Venice and a symbol of Grand Canal.
Venice is the most romantic city in the world. When you have a gourmet Italian meal at a canal front restaurant, plus the flirts from Italian men, you will see why Venice is romantic, and you will never want to leave.
