The British Airways eStore is continuing its stellar wave of promotions, this time with 1,000 Avios for spending $50+ at Safeway’s online grocery store (home delivery is FREE). Here’s what The Points Guy had to say about this:

The Estore is giving 1,000 Avios points for, “First-time customers for any completed online purchase at Safeway.com. All first-time customers get free delivery on their first order of $50 or more.”

1,000 points here and there start to add up!

Safeway doesn’t have coverage everywhere (like in New York or Miami, for example), but they do have over 1,775 stores across the US, including brands like Genuardi’s (Philadelphia metro). In fact theres a Genuardi’s around the corner from my parents house, so I tried to see if I could buy 3 bananas for $1.20 and pick them up in the store, but you can only check-out if you choose home delivery, which requires a $49 or higher order. Luckily there is free shipping on all $50 orders for first time customers when you use promo code EASY7 at checkout .

I value 1,000 Avios between $10 and $20. Not a bad rebate for $50 in spend- especially if you are going to buy items you planned to purchase anyway.
